Honda Unveils Two New Motorcycles to Celebrate 25 Years in India

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has introduced two new motorcycles, the CB125 Hornet and the Shine 100 DX, marking a significant milestone in its 25-year journey in the Indian market. These models are set to be available for booking starting August 1, 2025, showcasing Honda’s dedication to innovation and meeting the evolving needs of Indian riders.

Honda CB125 Hornet: A Bold Statement for Urban Riders

Designed with today’s urban youth in mind, the CB125 Hornet combines an aggressive street-style design with advanced features and thrilling performance. Its bold front fascia gives it a commanding presence on the road, complemented by an all-LED lighting setup that includes a signature twin LED headlamp with LED DRLs and high-mounted LED turn indicators.

The side profile of the CB125 Hornet features a muscular fuel tank with sharp tank shrouds and a stylish muffler. One of its standout features is the first-in-segment golden USD front forks, which add a premium touch. The motorcycle also comes with a 5-step adjustable mono-shock absorber, enhancing handling and providing superior comfort.

The unique placement of the ignition key on the fuel tank adds both convenience and style. Multi-spoke alloy wheels and a split seat setup further enhance the bike’s comfort for both the rider and pillion passenger. The CB125 Hornet is available in four dynamic color options: Pearl Siren Blue with Lemon Ice Yellow, Pearl Igneous Black, Pearl Siren Blue with Athletic Blue Metallic, and Pearl Siren Blue with Sports Red. It also features a 4.2-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and compatibility with the Honda RoadSync app.

Honda Shine 100 DX: A Commuter with Enhanced Features

The Shine 100 DX is offered in four vibrant color options, including Pearl Igneous Black, Imperial Red Metallic, Athletic Blue Metallic, and Geny Gray Metallic, catering to a wide range of customer preferences. This commuter motorcycle is equipped with a new LCD digital instrument cluster that provides real-time information such as mileage, distance to empty, and service due indicators.

Safety is a key focus, with the inclusion of a side stand engine cut-off feature. The Shine 100 DX is designed to meet the evolving needs of customers, offering enhanced styling and advanced features that align with what riders expect from Honda.

A Milestone for HMSI

Tsutsumu Otani, Managing Director, President, and CEO of HMSI, expressed pride in unveiling these two new motorcycles as part of the company’s 25th anniversary celebrations. He emphasized Honda’s commitment to innovation and customer-centric approaches, highlighting the significance of the 500 million production milestone globally and the 70 million production landmark for HMSI. Otani thanked customers, partners, and employees for their support over the years and looked forward to continued growth.

Yogesh Mathur, Director of Sales and Marketing at HMSI, shared excitement about introducing the CB125 Hornet and Shine 100 DX. He noted that the CB125 Hornet is set to redefine the 125cc premium commuter space with its advanced styling and segment-first features, including the Golden USD front forks and a best-in-class 0-60 km/h time of 5.4 seconds. The Shine 100 DX brings a fresh wave of excitement, blending enhanced styling with advanced features that reflect Honda’s commitment to meeting customer aspirations across all segments.
