“Obama’s Secret Directive”: Tulsi Gabbard Claims False Intel Targeted Trump

New Claims of Intelligence Manipulation by the Obama Administration

During a recent White House press briefing, the Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, along with White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, presented new allegations regarding the manipulation of intelligence by the Obama administration. Gabbard claimed that there is “irrefutable evidence” showing that former President Barack Obama and his national security team orchestrated the creation of a false intelligence assessment.

Gabbard emphasized that this assessment was designed to promote a fabricated narrative, which she described as an attempt to undermine the legitimacy of then-candidate Donald Trump. She stated, “They knew it would promote this contrived narrative… selling it to the American people as though it were true. It wasn’t.”

Evidence Presented and Further Implications

The documents reviewed by Gabbard reportedly reveal a pattern of gross politicization and manipulation of intelligence by the Obama administration. According to her, the goal was to delegitimize President Trump even before he took office. She added, “Ultimately, they sought to usurp the will of the American people.”

Gabbard also confirmed that these documents have been referred to the Department of Justice and the FBI for further investigation. She asserted that the evidence directly implicates Obama in the manufacturing of the intelligence assessment. “There are multiple pieces of evidence and intelligence that confirm that fact,” she said.

In addition to the press briefing, Gabbard released a number of documents on Wednesday, claiming they implicate members of the Obama administration in the weaponization of U.S. intelligence. These documents support the claims made during the briefing, highlighting what she describes as one of the most egregious cases of intelligence manipulation in American history.

Allegations Against the Obama Administration

According to Gabbard, the Obama administration promoted the idea that Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Russian government helped Trump win the 2016 election. She stated, “Per President Donald Trump’s directive, I have declassified a House Intelligence Committee oversight majority staff report that exposes how the Obama Administration manufactured the January 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment that they knew was false, promoting the LIE that Vladimir Putin and the Russian government helped President Trump win the 2016 election.”

Gabbard suggested that this effort was part of a broader strategy to undermine Trump’s legitimacy, working in conjunction with media partners to spread the false narrative. She called it a “years-long coup against him.”

Response from the Obama Administration

In response to these claims, the Obama administration issued a rare statement through spokesperson Patrick Rodenbush. He stated, “Out of respect for the office of the presidency, our office does not normally dignify the constant nonsense and misinformation flowing out of this White House with a response. But these claims are outrageous enough to merit one.”

Rodenbush dismissed the allegations as “ridiculous” and a “weak attempt at distraction.” He pointed to a 2020 report by the bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee, led by then-Chairman Marco Rubio, which affirmed the conclusion that Russia worked to influence the 2016 presidential election but did not successfully manipulate any votes.

Ongoing Controversies and Unsubstantiated Claims

Despite the claims made by Gabbard, there is still no evidence that the 2020 election was rigged. However, there is substantial evidence that Trump attempted to subvert the election results, according to CNN. Additionally, concerns about inflation remain, especially if Trump’s tariffs are implemented.

Gabbard also made a comment suggesting that high-ranking officials from the Obama administration, including Susan Rice, were involved in these alleged actions. She claimed that the names of those involved are listed in the documents, and that they tried to keep the information classified to prevent it from being seen again. However, she argued that this approach did not work.

Conclusion

While the claims made by Gabbard have sparked significant debate, there is currently no conclusive evidence supporting the conspiracy theories she has outlined. The Obama administration has consistently denied these allegations, emphasizing the lack of credible proof and the importance of maintaining the integrity of the intelligence process. As the situation continues to unfold, it remains to be seen whether further investigations will provide clarity or additional controversy.
