A Tragic Act of Reconciliation Gone Wrong
In a shocking incident that left a family in mourning, a man from Chon Buri attempted to reconcile with his ex-wife but ended up fatally stabbing her father instead. The event unfolded when Panupong, a 28-year-old swimming pool technician, stormed into the home of his ex-in-law, Siwapong, a 54-year-old construction contractor, in Bang Lamung district.
According to reports, Panupong entered the victim’s bedroom on Wednesday and used a 15cm kitchen knife to stab him. The attack occurred in front of Siwapong’s wife and grandson, who were both horrified by the brutal act. After the attack, Panupong fled the scene on his motorcycle, but he was eventually caught at his mother’s residence.
Panupong claimed he was intoxicated at the time of the crime and appeared visibly remorseful upon being apprehended. However, the victim’s relatives later attempted to assault him, prompting police intervention and his eventual arrest.
Rian, the victim’s wife, described the moment she was sleeping with her husband and grandson when the attacker suddenly entered their room and stabbed her husband in the chest before leaving calmly. She expressed confusion, as her husband had no prior conflicts with Panupong. She speculated that the motive might be linked to an attempt at reconciliation with her daughter.
A second knife was discovered in the daughter’s room, indicating that Panupong may have intended to harm her as well. Fortunately, she was not at home during the attack, which could have made the situation even more tragic.
The victim’s 31-year-old daughter, whose name remains undisclosed, revealed that she had been in a relationship with Panupong for about a year before breaking up over a month ago due to his drug abuse and violent behavior. She mentioned that he had recently tried to reconcile, but she refused. She believes Panupong came to the house intending to harm her, as he had previously climbed into the house.
Despite being drunk and irrational, Panupong attacked her father instead. His mother later confirmed that he had come to her after the attack, expressing regret for his actions. No prior signs of violence had been observed from Panupong, and charges against him are still pending.

Thanakorn, along with two accomplices, attacked a man, slashing his left hand while he was distracted by his phone, and then stole the device. He was later arrested in Nonthaburi after a background check revealed a long history of criminal activity starting from the age of 15.
The victim, who was treated at Phra Nang Klao Hospital, learned of a similar robbery under the bridge in Bang Kruai. This information led to a collaboration between police departments, resulting in Thanakorn’s arrest. He admitted to all charges, including joint robbery with a weapon causing serious injury.
His criminal record includes attempted murder at 15, possession of an illegal firearm at 16, and another robbery at 17. He was handed over to Prachachuen police for legal proceedings.
A Drunken Father’s Violent Outburst at a School
In a disturbing incident in Buri Ram, a drunken father stormed his son’s school with two knives, sending staff and students into chaos. Duan, a 52-year-old man from Roi Et province, arrived at the school in tambon Thung Wang with weapons in hand, attempting to gain access to his son.
Satuek police responded to the incident and found Duan sitting in a school pavilion with a pointed blade and a kitchen knife. He had traveled from Roi Et and claimed he was angry at the school director for blocking his attempts to transfer his son to a school in his home province.
The school director, Chitsanu, described how Duan rode into the school grounds, pulled out the knives, and chased him. Students locked the doors and some fled to a nearby village. Duan’s son is a Mathayom 3 student, and this was the third time Duan had visited the school, each time appearing drunk.
Duan explained that he had tried to take his son back to live with him in Roi Et twice before, but the school director refused each time. On the day of the incident, he had stopped at a roadside store to drink a small bottle of white liquor before heading to the school. He claimed he brought the knives only to scare the teachers and had no intention of harming anyone.
Police conducted a urine test and found no traces of drugs. Duan was initially charged with trespassing on government property and carrying knives without a reasonable cause.
