Bukomansimbi Unveiled to the World

A Night of Glamour and Empowerment at Miss Uganda 2025

The Miss Uganda 2025 pageant was a vibrant celebration of beauty, talent, and empowerment. From the moment the event began, the audience was captivated by the energy and excitement that filled the air. Between runway sequences, attendees enjoyed the smooth and fruity taste of V&A sherry, adding to the festive atmosphere. The crowning moment of the night brought an overwhelming sense of joy and anticipation as the winner was announced.

Entertainment throughout the evening featured soulful performances by Tracy Mellon, the Abeeka Band, and R&B veteran Aziz Azion, whose classic hits like Wampisa and Nkumila Omukwano evoked a wave of nostalgia among the crowd. Grace Nakimera made a surprise appearance, returning to the stage after years away, and her performance was met with enthusiastic applause as the audience sang along to her popular songs such as Onyambanga, Kawonawo, and her latest release, Osanyusiza.

Support from Friends and Family

As has been tradition in previous Miss Uganda events, friends and relatives of the contestants showed their support by wearing T-shirts with the pictures and names of the contestants they were rooting for. They carried placards and cheered loudly whenever their chosen candidates were mentioned. While this support is heartfelt, it’s important to note that winning the title is not solely based on popularity. It requires a combination of intelligence, beauty, charisma, and confidence.

On Saturday evening, 22-year-old Trivia Elle Muhoza demonstrated all these qualities. She received strong support from the crowd, provided thoughtful answers during the Q&A segment, and exuded natural beauty. These factors contributed to her being crowned Miss Uganda 2025 at the colorful event held at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel.

Muhoza’s response to the question about encouraging Ugandans to clean the city was particularly impactful. She emphasized the need for a recycling culture, showing her commitment to environmental sustainability. Along with the crown, she also won a brand new Toyota Wish and will represent Uganda at the Miss World pageant. Hailing from Bukomansimbi District, Muhoza hopes to use her platform to empower single mothers, especially those who have experienced domestic violence.

Contestants Showcased Intelligence and Confidence

During the grand finale, the contestants displayed eloquence and confidence when answering questions posed by the judges. Topics ranged from health and personal aspirations to leadership and environmental conservation. Each contestant brought a unique perspective, showcasing their depth and readiness for the responsibilities that come with the title.

Other Notable Winners

In addition to the main title, several other awards were presented during the event:

Agatha Drakes Keine was also named Multimedia Queen, while Faith Kirabo took home the title of Miss Beach Beauty.

A Celebration of Growth and Achievement

Brenda Nanyonjo, CEO of the Miss Uganda Foundation, expressed her excitement about the event and the growth of the participants. “What a night! It has been a long journey and we have seen the development of the girls. Only one was crowned, but they are all winners in their own right,” she said. She also thanked the sponsors for their support in making the event possible.

The Miss Uganda 2025 pageant was more than just a beauty contest; it was a celebration of empowerment, talent, and the potential of young women in Uganda. As Trivia Elle Muhoza steps into her role as the new queen, she carries with her the hopes and dreams of many, ready to make a positive impact both nationally and internationally.
